Weee're Baaaaack

       Back at school! Spring Break was pretty nice and all, but it definitely got a little boring at times, so its a bittersweet comeback to school. Especially because it is soooo nice outside!  When I'm in class I just want to play outside! It is supposed to stay like this all week though, yay! :D  I was secretly jealous of everyone who got to go to Florida or Myrtle! We had our first open gym of the new year today! It felt good even though I think I may have forgotten how to dribble a basketball... Luckily, there is time to fix that. This week has definitely been crunch time academically for me. Two midterms and a research paper all due. Its starting to get rough. Thank God for sunshine :) I'm excited to get rolling with basketball again. I didn't realize how much I missed it until I was sitting at home with no one to go shoot around with. It's nice to be back!

SPRING BREAK:)

Hello there!

It's spring break and I am just a little excited! I am heading down to Florida with a couple of my friends for a nice relaxing week on the beach!  This is a much needed break because midterms were quite stressful.  The only bad part about that is that we still should be playing right now if everything would have gone as planned.  Oh well, next year will be our year!

Woww! So crazy to think that my four years here at B-W have come to an end. Our last home game against ONU, was one of the best comebacks I have ever witnessed !! We were down 17 points with less than 9 minutes to play and ended up getting the victory. It truly made my senior night extra special !! The girls were so sweet and made me signs and hung them up around the gym. I couldn't help but laugh every time the picture of my face blown up was in the corner of STO. Although we lost in the tournament, I could not have been more proud of our team. We continued to fight and battle till the final buzzer. Playing at B-W has been such a privilege and such a great experience. I am so lucky to have made lifetime friendships and create a ton of memories that I will never forget !!

Random stuff

Well the season is over but that doesn't mean that this team didn't create some fun memories along the way. I ran across a couple of things from our Florida trip. The photo is from our practice at the RDV sportsplex where the Orlando Magic practiced.  The video is from Laurel's uncle's piano bar. We went there after attending the Magic game and the guys at the pianos played one of the requests. You can tell our team got excited about it!

WE LOVE OUR SENIOR!!

Wow! It’s hard to believe tomorrow is our last home and regular season game! We will play Ohio Northern tomorrow at 2pm and we are all more than excited! Excited not only to get the W, and that we are going to be televised, but also because it is SENIOR DAY!! On this special day we get to celebrate having by far the best senior athlete! Catherine has done a phenomenal job in all that she has accomplished during her years at BW. Cat has fantastic leadership skills and is role model of which I hope to be like some day! She goes about all that she does in a positive manner and always knows how to put a smile on everybody’s face! I couldn’t be more fortunate to have been given the opportunity to have her not only as my teammate but also as my friend :) It is unbelievable how fast this year has gone, though it has gone super fast is has been especially fun! Many memories have been created and I couldn’t imagine better teammates than what I have (better does not exist)!! My teammates are my second family and Catherine has brought us altogether. From day one, she included all the freshman in all that the upper classmen did. Her everlasting charm, determination, knowledge and skills will be remembered and greatly missed. I wish her best of luck in the future and hope to stay in touch! :)

Butler visit

So today the Butler men's basketball team practiced at BW. Brad Stevens - great coach and even better person. He took the time to talk to some of us after practice. Love it!

Super Bowl Night! (:

Sitting here blogging to all of you Jacket fans out there during the last minute of the Super Bowl. Personally, I like watching the game, but I mostly watch it to see all the new commercials that our put on for 30 seconds for millions of dollars! This evening Coach entertained us at her home with dinner before the game! She made us shredded chicken sandwiches, chilly, and buffalo chicken dip, with different sides. For dessert she made Coach Campbell's famous dip with chocolate chips in it, and Coach also made us some delicious brownies! To say the least, we are just a little spoiled! Dinner was great, thanks again Coach :) We finally got the W on the road against Muskingum! Lets keep the W's coming Lady Jackets!! On the way home from the game on saturday, the upper classman were able to put us through the obstacle course on the bus, going up and under legs and touching Coach K's head for a turning point, while getting hit with pillows by the girls (they didn't take it easy on us freshies). All of the Freshman participated and it was a close call but Jenny won the race with a time of 12.6 seconds, blowing all of us out of the water! Hope everyone enjoyed the Super Bowl tonight and we hope to see you at our game at John Carroll at 7:30. (: Go Yellow Jackets! Sharlee Bailey #13 #JacketNation

Dinner at Natalia's

We all had the pleasure of being welcomed to Natalia Simovic's home last night for dinner. It was extraordinary and so very nice of her family to feed us! Check out some video from the night -

Why hello there Jacket Nation! We had an exciting week! We had a solid win at Heidelberg, which was extra exciting for me since Tiffin is my hometown. Then we had another solid win against Wilmington, which was on TV! That was also the 'bring a kid to the game' day, so we all got to act like celebrities and sign autographs after the game.  I think all our hard work we have put in this season is finally starting to show!

Besides basketball, I've just been going to class....8 A.M's every day...and I am NOT a morning person... Besides having to get up early everyday, classes are a lot of fun this semester!

Here's some pictures from the past week! The first one is a picture of my family after the Heidelberg game.  The second one is me and my lovely brother (and Coach Campbell creeping in the background bahaha). The 3rd one is from Saturday and I am signing Becca Kobelt's poster (she might be the biggest fan we have).  The last picture is me and my roommate after the game.  It was a doubleheader so we both were wearing our uniforms!

We're off to a great start this second half of the season as we took on Heidelberg and Wilmington recently making our record 12-7. We started off a little slow and unsteady but we're ready to bring this ship to our house this year.

JV finally got some games going on! We played Lakeland on Sunday and we will be playing Walsh University this Monday! But besides having fun on the floor, off the floor we have so many activities scheduled. Never bug us on a Thursday night because we've got T.V shows lined up, Scategories, and food to inhale like no other.

Happy Humpday

HELLOO JACKETSSS

Welp, it's 10:04 AM and I am done with classes for the day.  Not only am I done at 10 every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but one of my classes on those days is Lifetime Leisure Activities.  Today we played ping pong, and next Thursday we are going sled riding.  I'm sure my parents are glad to see my college funds going to good use.  On a sad note, Glee was not new last night, so I will have to wait another week to see if Rachel Berry and Fin Hudson are getting married      :(  Instead of Glee, Cathering and I watched American Idol.  She believes that she has what it takes to be the next American Idol, and I tried to prove to her that she cannot hold a tune to save her life, but to no avail.  So please look for her next season, she'll be the girl crying in the confessional because the judges told her she wasn't American Idol material.  Or maybe she'll make it to Hollywood, what do I know!  In basketball related news, we travel to Heidelberg tonight to face the Student Princes, and I would just like to say that I am very grateful that our mascot isn't the Student Princes.  We had a great win on Saturday and are looking to keep the streak going tonight.  AAWWWWWW JACKETS!!!

Bloogggg Timmeee!

Hello Everyone!
The semester has started and is now underway! Classes are going well and assignments are begginning to pour in. However, I am excited to say that this time next year I will be doing my semester of student teaching!
As for the latest update, we won our game against Marietta and finally played like the awesome BW team we are. It was a lot of fun playing with everyone and I am exciting to keep this going! Also yesterday the JV had a game and played well. Afterwards we all went out to eat at Quaker Steak and Lube, which I had not experienced before. My favorite part was the fact that we were given "twisty" straws to drink from! ANYWAY! Our next game is Wednesday at Heidelberg, so I hope everyone can be in attendance!
