YJ4L..literally

Hey everyone! It's Erin.  So far I've been here at BW for about five weeks.  These five weeks have been pretty stressful but have also flown by.  As most of you have know, I have been have quite a rough time adjusting because I'm so shy and homesick, however thanks to a lot of you my transition here becomes a little easier everyday.  Thank you very much everyone, I really appreciate it.  You have all been very nice and welcoming to me and every bit helps.  With that said, I am really excited for the season to start because I think it is going to be a lot of fun (...and that means we have successfully completed boot camp...)  As far as my life goes at BW, it has been really busy with basketball and studying like most of you I'm sure.  I have enjoyed most of my classes, simply because I am a nerd and love to learn, but also because most of my professors are pretty cool.  The old man that always shows up in the rec with the sweatband and high shorts...yea, that's my calc teacher, he's pretty funny.  One of my favorite things so far at BW, was probably our first trip to Camp Cheerful for bonding, I feel like that helped a lot getting to know a little about everyone and I cannot wait to get to know all of you more.  I am really looking forward to basketball season because I know we all will have a lot of fun and challenge a lot of teams.  Again, thank you everyone for all your help making me feel at home, it has really meant a lot.

I think this quote somewhat defines what I need to do in order to succeed here at BW and not be so homesick.

Love,
Erin Allen

Hey!!!!

Hi, I am Shabree Rawls, a freshman from Mansfield St Peters.
I have had my first taste of the college life and I am loving ever minitue of it. I have met the ladies on the team and love each and every one of them! They have been so welcoming and down to earth. We have recently started lifting and let me tell you that first day was in imaginably difficult. But as the weeks pass it gets easier as I become stronger. My mom tells me that something easy is never worth having! I am so excited about this up coming season that I could scream. I'm ready to face any opponent that stands in our way. I love being a yellow jacket!!!!! (even tho im allergic to them)  If you happen to read this and stop by campus and see me , do not hesitate to come up to me and say hello. ( im the one on the left , my sister nays is on the right. she may become a lady yellow jacket in the future!!!!)

Ps. if you want to go to a college with amazing food THIS IS THE ONE!!! Food was my #1 priority in choosing college and basketball 1.5..lol (sorry Coach) :D

Love, Peace, and Hair Grease,

work hard, play hard

ayyyyyyyye!!! dis is janaya lol well my first three weeks have been great so far. actually my first week didnt go so well.! i was following my schedule my advisor gave me at orientation and it was wrong. so like 2 of my classes i went to, my teacher would be like "who are you?" "well your not in my list." and i would just be like "oh well my schedule says to be here..." then there would be this awkward silence and i would be embarrased hahaha. finally by wednesday i went to my advisor and got things fixed! thank god. but other than that, everything has been pretty good. i met alot of new people and i really enjoyed getting to know the basketball girls. you all are welcoming and always keep me laughing lol so im glad to be part of the 2012-2013 basketball team. i know its going to be a great year for us and we will go far.! (also, if we make it to the final four, sam has agreed to get the entire teams names tattooed on her butt.. :/ its a little awkward and weird but its sam and she is awkward and weird so hey it will be a memory lol) okay well ttyl.

Heyy Everyone!! I hope you all had a great summer and a successful move in! I'm Shari Mangas and I will be a Sophomore this year. I recently just changed my major from Athletic Training/Exercise Science to Sports management and business. I'm from a wee little town called Leipsic which is in NW Ohio. My summer consisted of mainly working and working out. I did venture to Columbus quite a few times to visit with some of my friends so that was a nice break from the work life. It was such a great time reuniting with everyone yesterday as they all moved back in to this wonderful town.
I hope you all had a great opening weekend and I'm looking forward to seeing all of the new yellow jackets at the cookout tonight!
Awwwwww jackets!  Shari #20

Red, White, and Boom in Columbus. Jenna Andreas is on the far left and I am the 3rd one in the striped shirt

Hey everyone! I can't believe it is already time to go back to school..I don't know about everyone else, but my summer flew by. I did have a great summer though, had a lot of fun. Hope everyone elses was awesome too. I'm Jess Carpenter and I will be a senior (that is so weird to say) this year. I am from North Canton and have two wonderful parents, Terry and Sue. I'm sure you will be able to pick my dad out of the crowd at our games. He is the one sitting in the stands 2 hours before tip off- biggest fan! I also have an older brother Adam who is 25.  My major is Healthcare Management and I plan to go to nursing school after I graduate, so more school for me is in store. Other than all of that, I am super excited to start the season with everyone and I can't wait to see what this team will accomplish.  I have a great feeling it is going to be an awesome year for the Yellow Jackets.  Keep working hard and I will see everyone tomorrow at the speaker. Few More Days :)

Hey everyone! I'm Audrey and I will be a Sophomore this year at BW. I loved last year and I cannot wait to start this year. I am a Middle Childhood Education major with minors in Math and History. My ultimate goal is to teach Middle School Math...which people always tell me is crazy lol but I love that age group.
My summer has been awesome. I babysit/nanny for a family in my neighborhood and I absolutely love it. Shout out to Megan and Taylor!! (the girls I babysit) :) I didn't really go on a "vacation" but I did go to Cedar Point and my grandparents condo in Marblehead which is always a blast. I also got to help my sister move into college at the University of Kentucky which was absolutely beautiful. Everyone there is super friendly and I love their accents :)
I am so excited to get to know all the incoming players. Get ready for some good times :) As for the season, I always look forward to that. Spending time with my teammates is one of my favorite things about college. I miss you all!!
I hope everyone has had a great summer and I can't wait to see you guys :)

This is a picture of Shari and me on the airport floor bored out of our minds waiting for the plane to Florida :)
